Itinerary

Day 1Islamabad

Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, our team members will stand by to receive you. We will then take you to your arranged accommodation in Islamabad, where you will stay overnight. Sightseeing activities can be arranged.

Day 2Islamabad - Gilgit - Karimabad (Hunza)

At the crack of dawn, we will head to the Islamabad International Airport to fly to the city of Gilgit. Upon arrival, we will instantly leave for Karimabad Hunza Valley via car/bus/jeep. Along the way, there will be many spots for sightseeing. We will take a brief break at the Rakaposhi Viewpoint, where we’ll also have our lunch. After that, we’ll continue our journey to Karimabad Hunza. Upon arriving, we’ll check-in at the hotel and take a quick rest. Later, we’ll go for a short trail along the water channel of the area. We will also explore the local bazaars present. In the evening, we’ll enjoy the sunset at Duikur. Our overnight stay will be in Karimabad Hunza Valley.

Karimabad is the cultural hub of Hunza Valley, known for its scenic beauty and historic sites like Baltit and Altit forts. The town’s bazaar is famous for handicrafts, organic apricots, and local delicacies, making it a popular stop for travelers.

Day 3Baltit - Altit Forts - Hopper Valley - Gulmit Hunza

After having our breakfast, we’ll leave to visit the Baltit-Fort, the Altit Fort and the Old Altit Village. Upon touring these historical sites, we’ll take a break and return to the hotel to have lunch. After, we’ll drive directly to Hopper Valley. There, we’ll trek up to Hopper Glacier. Following that, we’ll head to the Ataabad Lake for boating. Finally, we’ll head to the village of Passu where we’ll check into the hotel. Our overnight stay will be at Passu, in Upper Hunza.

Baltit Fort, overlooking Karimabad, is a 700-year-old structure reflecting Tibetan and Balti architecture. Once home to the Mir of Hunza, the fort offers panoramic views of Hunza Valley and houses historical artifacts in its museum.

Altit Fort, over 900 years old, is the oldest fort in Hunza. Located in Altit village, it was the royal residence of Hunza’s rulers. The fort, surrounded by the Royal Garden, boasts stunning valley views and traditional wooden architecture.

Day 4Passu Glacier - Suspension Bridges - Borith Lake

We’ll spend the first half of the day in hiking to the Passu Glacier. We’ll have lunch upon returning to the hotel. In the second half of the day, we’ll head to the Passu Suspension Bridge. After completing that, we’ll drive to Borith Lake in the evening for sightseeing. We’ll return to Passu again and stay overnight.

Passu Glacier, near the iconic Passu Cones in Hunza, is a striking natural wonder. The glacier, accessible via a short trek, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks and provides a glimpse into the raw beauty of the Karakoram range.

Borith Lake, a serene high-altitude lake near Passu, is known for its peaceful ambiance and clear waters. It’s a popular spot for birdwatching and serves as a base for treks to the nearby glaciers, offering a relaxing escape in the Karakoram Mountains.

Day 5Khunjerab Pass

This day will be entirely dedicated to travelling to the Khunjerab Pass. We will arrange the means of transport you prefer and start our journey after breakfast at the hotel. Along the way, we’ll pass by stunning views of mountains, rivers, and villages. At Khunjerab, which has been proclaimed a national park, you’ll be able to see Snow leopards, Himalayan Ibexes, Marcopolo Sheeps and much more. We will return to Passu in the evening.

Khunjerab Pass, at 4,693 meters, is the highest paved international border crossing in the world, linking Pakistan with China. Located on the Karakoram Highway, it offers stunning mountain views and a unique experience at the gateway between two nations.

Day 6Upper Hunza Valley

After breakfast, we’ll visit the main villages in the area such as Passu, Gulmit, Hussaini, Shishkat etc. This way we’ll be able to visit cultural museums, traditional houses and meet the locals. Overnight stay will be at Passu

Day 7Chapursan Valley

This day is dedicated to exploring the serene Chapursan Valley. Enjoy activities like horse and yak riding, and if fortunate, catch thrilling polo and freestyle matches. Afterward, we’ll head back to Passu for an overnight stay.

Day 8Passu - Gilgit

After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey to Gilgit with a stop at the Chinese Cemetery. As we continue, we’ll make occasional scenic stops along the way. Upon reaching Gilgit, we’ll explore the local bazaars and drive across the suspension bridge. After checking in at the hotel and taking a brief rest, we’ll visit the historic Kargah Buddha. Overnight stay in Gilgit.

Day 9Gilgit - Tato - Fairy Meadow

After breakfast, we’ll leave for Fairy Meadow. We’ll start travelling in a mountain jeep at Raikot Bridge for the drive to Tatto Village. We’ll then start our trek to Fairy Meadow and check-in at the hut. After a short rest, we’ll have a short walk to sightsee. Our overnight stay will be in the local, wooden style huts.

Day 10Trek to Nanga Parbat Base Camp

After an early breakfast, we’ll start our trek towards the Nanga Parbat base camp. Upon arriving, we’ll spend the time in sightseeing and photography. We’ll then head back to Fairy meadows where we’ll stay overnight.

Day 11Fairy Meadow - Besham

After an early breakfast, we’ll trek back to Tatto Village. Here, we’ll take a mountain jeep and head towards Raikot Bridge. We’ll then start our journey to Besham with occasional stops for sightseeing. Finally, we’ll check-in at a hotel in Besham where we’ll stay overnight.

Day 12Besham - Islamabad

After an early breakfast, we’ll start our journey to Islamabad from Besham. En route, we’ll visit the renowned Taxila Museum and head-on. We’ll check in to a hotel and have lunch. After that, we’ll visit different tourist spots such as Lok Virsa, Faisal Mosque, Pakistan Monument, Saidpur Village, Daman e Koh, etc. We’ll then have a farewell dinner party, after which you will be accommodated to the Islamabad International Airport to catch your flight back home.
